Mountainside is 25 miles from New York City and has various modes of transportation.
For those who prefer
to drive, Mountainside
has easy access to two
major highways: Route
22 and Route 78. Route
22 runs right through
Mountainside providing
access to Newark/New
York going East and Somerset/Hunterdon
Counties going West.
Route 78 provides access
to other major highways
such as The Garden State
Parkway, Route 287, and
Routes 202/206. Residents
also have easy access
to commuter buses and
trains via bus stops
in Mountainside itself and train stations
in nearby Summit and
Westfield.
